Great Hawaii Runs

It has been nearly seven years since I first wrote about one of my favorite vacation runs. Technology has changed a lot in seven years, with a few quick clicks of a mouse I can now map my run and know it is exactly 10.37 miles. But Hawaii time seems to move a lot slower. The new resort home development at the start of the run now has a name and some homes, Kauna ‘Oa, but seven years later still a lot of empty lots. Puako road has seen a few new homes too, including two new “green homes” currently under construction by local builder Sol Habitat. Apart from that, the area is pretty much just as it was seven years ago. And that’s just fine by me.
